California Poppies Dreaming started out as an art demo and then I just had to finish it. Love how it turned out. Sometimes I don't finish paintings, but this one spoke to me :) The colors are vibrant and cheerful. The size is 11x7 inches.
California artist, Hilda Vandergriff, learned to draw and paint from art teachers at College of The Sequoias, has taken many workshops on the Central Coast and at The Door Gallery. Hilda's art inspiration is nature; insects, flowers, animals and landscapes. She looks for the beauty in all her subject matter that ultimately will translate into an original cherished piece of artwork. My pastels are rich velvety colors for exotic looking orchids.
