Three Pumpkins was painted using a limited colors for yellow oranges, oranges and red oranges. I kept the background very loose and more details on the pumpkins. A couple of fall leaves were also added. The colors are just beautiful. The size is 10.5 x 14.5 inches.
California artist, Hilda Vandergriff, learned to draw and paint from art teachers at College of The Sequoias, has taken many workshops on the Central Coast and at The Door Gallery. Hilda's art inspiration is nature; insects, flowers, animals and landscapes. She looks for the beauty in all her subject matter that ultimately will translate into an original cherished piece of artwork. My pastels are rich velvety colors for exotic looking orchids.
